edelbrock torker II and quadrajet questions

i have a edelbrock torker II and was wondering if i could put it on a 305 and be beneificial. also i have a rebuilt quadrajet but it has no detent cable hookup i think it was cut off

No way - What little torque you did have will be gone. Sell it on eBay for $25 bucks
