5.30 Swap Into My 85 4x4????

I'm looking to put a 5.3 and 4l60E in my 4x4 85 Chevy truck. What do i need to know? I have to motor and trans form a 99 Chevy truck and a harness form an 01-02 truck. What will i need to do the swap and how hard in it going to be because most i have looked at were 2wd swaps.

First research google and all avenues about this swap.  Second, I would say start looking for a drivers side drop axle.

You will have to mate a 73-87 T-case to the trans, the NP241 came behind the 4L60E.
There is some info in the forum on putting one in a 4x4.  LS1Tech probably has alot of info, but post back your progress.

Thats the only part im not sure about if my 208 will bolt up where the 241 is now? Other than that i picked up a whole chassie from a tahoe today with all the wiring to here it run with out the body so i think i have every thing to do the swap.

I think the later 208 will work.  I have swapped a 241 to a 208 before.

I am under the impression that the 241 and 208 were of the same input and bolt pattern

 The 208 transfer case will bolt up noooooo problem....
