Electric to manual windows
« on: December 14, 2012, 10:13:22 pm »
My passenger door (all manual )was damaged in an accident and I found a donor with electric windows and door locks in it.  Is there anyway to get the manual regulator and lock mech from my original door to replace the electric parts of the new door. If so how tuff of a swap are we talking about. Its a 1987 V10 SWB Custom Deluxe.

The doors from 77-87 (up to 91 on suburbans, blazers and crewcabs) were the same.  If you pull all the parts out of your old door, they will swap into the new doors as long as they are 77-87 (91).

To remove the manual regulators, windows, vent windows, etc. you might try searching this site. I think there have been some posts about the process.
