« on: September 02, 2012, 08:56:40 am »
Will an 87 cab fit onto a 78 frame. My thought is yes but wanted to make sure.

You will need to use the 73 to 80 style cab mounts.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

By "cab mounts", do you mean the rubber cushions and associated hardware....Or, do you mean the brackets attached to the frame?

I'm asking because I'm intending to swap my 85 1/2T body and bed to a 1980 3/4T chassis...I hope!!!

Cab mounts are the rubber and steel bushings that go between the cab, and the brackets that are rivited onto the frame.

Just started another thread about interchangeability of certain cabs to certain frames. Some savvy person on here should make a wheel base length, frame length, etc list so we can play around with the ideas
