Seat-Belt upgrade 1975 C-10
« on: January 19, 2013, 07:59:10 pm »
I have a 1975 Chevy C-10 with a bench seat and the original lap-belt only. I would like to install a shoulder belt or harness.
What mounting locations are there available? Has anyone any photos or a schematic where to mount the new belt.

Thanks

Peter

I see this is your first post, so I will welcome you.  I remember a thread on here of adding shoulder belts to a lap belt truck, but can not find it.  I will keep looking and I am sure when someone else see's this thread they will help to point you in the right direction.

Even though your truck didn't come with them the bolt holes are there. If you have the interior trim you will need to remove it to drill the access holes. You can get the seat belts online or from a donor.

I found something that should get you started.

In 78 chevyrado post he posted a link that goes here that shows someone installing a shoulder belt in a 74.  I am saving this one since I am rebuilding a 74 myself.
