1984 Hood Latch Cable Clip

I give up...while hooking up the cable release to the hood  latch, I cant remember how the cable loops thru the tiny clip on the release arm.   I cant find one to look at or any diagrams.   Can someone post a close up pic?  Last thing I need is for it to come apart.  Thank you.

I am not sure exactly what you are looking for.  Here is a picture showing the cable attachment on the backside of the latch on my '84.  I am working on my truck this afternoon so if you need a different angle or position just post and i will try to get it for you.

Thanks!  As far as I can see, it looks like the release cable simply passes thru the bottom fold of the clip just once.  This website does not allow much photo resolution .   Can you get closer to where the cable actually attaches to the latch?  It is a small pressed clip that catches the   stop welded on the end of the cable 

I may be missing a piece between the cable end and the arm? cant tell. Mine looks as if the clip is made for the cable to loop thru it in a U shape ?  Its weird but my cable seems to be a bit too long...Im building a truck from a pile of parts
