Cigarette Lighter Install

So my '73 was missing the ash tray when I purchased it, and I found one online to fill the hole in my dash. The part came with the cigarette lighter in the ash tray, but I'm not sure if it works. Anyway, I took my dash apart in an attempt to get a better look at the wires back there. Turns out I have two lights that aren't working (I replaced the bulb on the lower one near the floor...map light?), and I have a ton of wires that aren't connected to anything. I was wondering if anyone knew what some of the wires were for? I'm primarily interested in getting the lights and cigarette lighter working...

I'm really confused by the orange wire that is connected to the clear box. I've never seen the type of connector it has on it...

Can you give a description on the one you are wanting to know about and where it comes from or goes?
Pic1) no clue, where does it come from or go
Pic2) under dash light
Pic3) where is that?
pic4) which wire, all those with connectors were added... or so it appears.
Pic5) looks to be a dash light with the wrong builb
pic6) appears to be above the AC what are you asking about?
pic7) cruise control module...
pic8) cobbled mess?
pic9) No idea, where is it coming from?
pic10) appears to be 2 wires removed and taped up...

In most cases the orange and white wires are for courtesy lights or for the light in the back of the cab over the bed.  The clear box looks like it might be a relay, so maybe someone used it with the courtesy lights to turn on something else.

FYI: The orange wire is always hot, and the courtesy lights are turned on by the grounding of the door switches.  This may have confused someone doing previous work.  Its exactly the opposite of most other accessories, which usually have constant ground and switched power.  For example, if someone spliced into the orange wire for power to a radio it would turn the radio and the courtesy lights as soon as you grounded the radio.

Someone installed an aftermarket alarm/shock sensor. Just eliminate it all and if you can't locate the original wiring to the cig lighter just run a new circuit off of the fuse panel. All you need is B+ and B-
