Have you tried a local machine shop/engine builder?

Yes,ive got a local guy doing the block/heads as we speak. And hes getting a price together for me on his source, but i like the come prepared with something to compare too..All ive found is jegs, summit, speedway and ebay..All pretty much same prices,oh and Skipwhite has a kit on ebay that seems reasonable, but im not to sure on the "h"beam rods included..Rest of it seems legit, forged probe pistons, scat crank, king bearings idk what brand of h beams w 7/16 cap srew bolts..all for like 800$

Not familiar with that kit, but you would be hard pressed to do better on price, me thinks.

It just erks me to go thru a "vendor" like summit.First of all ive had bad dealings with Summit, they screw my order up every stinkng time, second of all im thinking there shoupd be better deals without a vendor being involved. You would think anyways..I found a catalog of Scat products,im gonna try them direct;i was just hoping someone on here knew of a source with nice prices..

You get what you pay for. Summit will make good on the products they carry. You can always Google search for cheaper but that isn't always better. I was using an alternate company until they screwed up my order and then basically ignored my calls to get the right parts so I stick with company's that are reputable when engine building.

I have used Northern Engine before for some parts.  Try to make friends with a circle track racer. All of them I know have a wholesaler account through speedway or motorville.
