Ok, so I know my wiring has been cut and spliced all over the truck so I'm hoping this is the reason why. I replaced the taillights on the truck today with ones that are supposed to be there. PO had installed trailer lights on instead of ones that had reverse lights to save a couple of bucks I'm guessing.
The question is, the brake lights will only come on with the ignition on, I thought you should be able to hit the pedal and the lights would come on with the key out of the ignition. Which way should it be?
I know turn signals need the ignition on, hazards do not.
Another thought, the side markers on the front will blink with the blinkers but the rear side markers do not. Is this correct or should they blink as well? 78 K10 Stepside BTW and yes the taillights are working as designed with the truck running.
