Gauge Install question
« on: February 13, 2015, 02:33:56 pm »
Ok so I have looked all over the internet and this site and cant get a clear answer. I have a 1984 c10 with the straight 6 (250 4.1L). I want to install a oil and temp gauge because mine work intermittently (I have the light, no numeric gauge's). where is the oil sending unit and the temp sending unit located? All the places I have looked show a v8 of Some sort, ALSO I want to keep the auto choke/oil light.. will installing another oil gauge interfere with that ?

The oil sending unit should be above the starter on an I6.  The temp sensor should be in the head.  Just T off of the oil.
