body mount

seems like the passenger side body mount is getting weathered. Its about rusted through. How should I go about fixing it? get another and weld it on or what?

Is it the body mount or the washer on the bottom that holds the bottom rubber in place? Or are you talking about the mount that is riveted to the frame? If it is the bottom washer you can buy them from GM, and mabey aftermarket but not sure. if it is the mount on the frame I would try finding a used one but I think you can still get them from GM too. You can also buy Energy Suspensions or similar cab mount kit for under a $100.00, it comes with all six mounts but no bottom washers or bolts.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

You can weld a washer to the bottom of the mount. If you replace the mount you should grind the rivites off and bolt the new one on.
