throttle valve corrector
« on: April 15, 2015, 10:01:37 am »
Ok guys I'm brand new here and I need some more heads put together than just my own.

I just had a new Monster 700r4 installed and noticed that it wasn't going into 4th. My first thought was to adjust the TV cable and I noticed that the throttle valve corrector for the edelbrock carb didn't look right. I asked and the mechanic said the corrector wouldn't work so he had to modify it. I could quite figure out what exactly he was saying about it not working, something about it wouldn't hookup right the way it was. The bracket where the TV cable bolts onto the intake manifold seems to hug the manifold pretty close so I'm thinking the angle wasn't right and that's what he was talking about. But regardless of why or why not he still cut up a $40 piece of metal and I'm wondering if it's too short now to operate properly and that's why I don't have 4th. I'd love to attach a picture of the setup, but I'm restricted to 256k per picture which is impossible.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

if you dont have it properly working dont drive the truck you will burn up the trans then monster will claim improper installation. do a google search on them and see how "good" they are.
