I know, i had a mechanic replace with oem covers when he did my valve seals, leaked and then leaked again under warranty. Still leaks in one little spot on pass side firewall end of valve c., lets see if the rtv holds up. If not still under warranty.

You need felpro blue gaskets and t-handlers and spreader bars. Nothing else will fix those leaks.

Surfaces on the head needs to be cleaned spotless with acetone and inside flanges of valve covers cleaned with acetone and then roughed up.

Don't do this it will always leak.

I modified mine to fit my tall valve covers and wherever my air filter housing ended up on the Performer intake.  I just used old 1-1/2" header tubes to move things around.

Before the oem, there were edelbrock, which i removed and painted black, used reg felpro gaskets with plain oem tabs to hold down and no leaks. I cleaned the gm valve covers spotless. Anyway, the drivers side is good. Perhaps a little warp to it?

Update, used a little bead of rtv under edge of valve cover, no leak, not a drop!!
