Stepside filler neck
« on: March 14, 2005, 07:05:00 pm »
Does anyone know where I can find a filler neck for my 81 Stepside? Can't seem to find one locally.

Thanks Mike;

Called them today and they say their rubber filler hose is for the fleetside only. Year One only lists up to 1980?

Can you match up your old one to a similar shaped radiator hose?

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

That's my next step. I have a friend that has about 500 older radiator hoses that are NOS, Imay try to match some of them.

Thanks

The fuel hose has to be a neoprene injected hose or it will slowly, but absolutely eventually, eat away and cause a massive leak when you fill up one day. I rigged my old 77 up with a rad hose and got leaks after only 3 fillups with high-octane!

I think 1980 will work since they should interchange,best bet to take it off and compare it to the 80 one.
thanks
