1976 GMC High Sierra K15 Stepside
« on: June 08, 2016, 03:23:29 pm »
Hi everyone!

I recently purchased this clean and original 1976 GMC High Sierra K15 Stepside. It was a garage-kept one owner truck and only has 74,000 miles. The owners manual was in the glove box, and it came with the original sales invoice and a folder full of maintenance receipts. It was custom ordered in January 1976 from FB Hart Co. in Sacramento, and made in Fremont.

- 400cid small block
- TH400 / NP203 (full-time 4x4 automatic transmission), Dana 44 front w/ locking hubs, 12-bolt posi rear, 3.73 gears
- air conditioning
- power steering
- power brakes
- dual exhaust
- dual batteries
- dual gas tanks
- tachometer gauges

Wow!
Just wow

Lose the toolbox and it will look better , not that it doesn't look outstanding.

Thanks everyone! I really got lucky to find this truck. It's a lot of fun, and it brings back a lot of memories of my grandpa's '81 stepside that was my first vehicle.

Now if California would just go ahead and lift the smog exempt year I could really have some fun...

The truck was a good find, but the only set of keys I had for it were easy to lose...

I just had to have a locksmith re-key the doors and ignition. That will teach me.
