Will i be able to take the center chunk out of a 12 bolt chevrolet rear end with 3.07 gears and put it into a 12 bolt chevrolet rear end that has 2.56 gears without any problems or changing anything?

Not without the pinion gear. It would be MUCH easier on yourself if you just replaced the complete 12bolt 2.73 rearend with one that has a 3.08 rearend.
BTW, only truck rearend internals are the same. Passenger car internals won't work on a pickup.
Also, why are you putting a POLL in every post you make?
