350 Max RPM
« on: January 07, 2007, 07:05:00 pm »
I have a 1984 C-30 with a stock 350 LT9 motor and I was just curious as to what the redline RPM is for these engines  I appreciate any help.

I know with my truck and the mildy-built 350 it has, I get valve float at 5000 rpm. I don't take it past 4500.

85 Chevy Silverado C10 short, wide, yellow, 2wd. Lowered, 60-over 350 with Dart Iron Eagle heads and Comp Cams XE268 cam, TH350 w/ shift kit, 3.40 Gov-lok 12 bolt.

If your valves are floating at that RPM I would check them valve springs ;)
