I have a 85 1 ton that I want to convert the frame to 4x4. What other trucks could be the donner for the crossmembers that I need?? would 1/2 or 3/4 ton work. I will be using a turbo 400 and 205 case. Any help???

Any 81-86 K frame or 87 - 91 V frame should work fine

In my opinion, yes. the C30 frames were taller. This is the crossmember I am talking about. As for the spring perches, you could get them off anything.

Yeah the crossmember by the transfer case is bigger and so is the frame. Or thats how it looked to me this summer when I was looking at a SRW one ton 4x4 in a parking lot in town.
Hey if you need a heavier frame have you ever thought of stacking two half ton frames? would give you a body lift as well.
