I read in one of your older messages to add a little polyester resin to my final layer of body filler and I'll  get a VERY smooth finish that will fill pinholes and such.........I tried it and all I can say is WOW!!!! :o

I use to fight with the filler to get a real smooth finish but now I can get it super smooth with this method.  THANKS!!

Quick question - can I lay down epoxy after sanding to 180 grit or should I go one step further to 320 grit.  Will the epoxy and surfacer fill 180 sand scratches?

it depends on how many coats and mainly what the build capabilities of the primer are, but most likely it would be ok. on the other hand, why not give it a once-over with 220 or 320 just for the assurance?

stock really sucks

Ya - that's what I'll do - just being lazy.  I'll hit it with 320 grit before epoxy.

On a daily driver type rig I stop at 180 grit, but I also use a high build urethane primer, and sometimes cover it with epoxy. For a show finish I would go the extra step and 220 grit the surface.
 Glad the tip worked out.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs
