truck got hit yesterday

I park my 1983 Chevy k10 1/2 4x4 in the side parkin lot of my apartment complex.  I start it up every other day and when i went to start it up yesterday somebody hit my truck had orange paint from the wheel well on the bed all the way back to the corner by the tail lights popped out the tail light lens and didn't even tell me.  I know who did it cause they have black paint on his truck.  It was actually an ice cream truck!  Well maybe he will come forward and tell me like a man.

I've takin pictures of my truck but the ice cream truck that hit me was not here tonight so i couldnt. A  buddy told me that there was black paint all over his truck. It is actually just primer i'm in the process of restoring it.  Maybe I can at leat have him buy me the paint or someting.

He'll deny it.  If no one saw him, he could get away with it....tough to prove, even if the marks line up, color, etc...proof is just that, proof.

So last night i put a note on the truck and today i took pictures and talked to a police officer.  The driver of the truck called me today denying that he hit it.  So then i called the cops showed him the pictures that i took and he said he will talk to them when the truck gets back.  So hopefully i can get him to fix the damage.

Down here if it is done on private propery, the is nothing the law can do. My mom had the side caved in og her 90 Mustang GT in a Walmart parking lot, she wasn't even in the car, and the lady that hit her was trynig to blame my mom. The police even got to the wreck before my mom even knew about it. But they told her it was up to the individuals and the police had no legal actions thery could take.

The only thing the police can do is do the report.  The rest is up to Court.  At least the report would say the car was parked.  The judge-man will see what happened.

I would be ticked beyond imagination if someone hit my truck. I don't drive to school because I'm afraid I'll get a doordinger or someone will hit it. My girlfriend thinks I'm a pshyco but I tell ya, the only way I'll turn a pshyco if someone hits my baby.
