fuel pump help

hello everyone
well here is what i need. I just got a new fuel pump. what i have been reading is i need to put a relay on to it. well I'm cheap and i would rather make it my self. what i need to know is how wire it and what parts do I need. I do know i need a relay

sorry i have a 83 k10 350 i put a electric fuel pump on in need to now how to wire in a relay for the pump

simple enough...If you're gonna run a typical bosch relay like this one



just run circuit protection to 87a from b+ and make this your high current circuit. Run the high current wire from cavity 30 to your fuel pump.

power cavity 85 from the circuit protected ignition feed off of your ignition. Run 86 to a dedicated ground. another method would be to run cavity 86 to a 2 pin oil pressure switch so it would only energize when cranking or running.
