better off?

I am working on a 327 for my 68c20- i know wrong generation but anyway- i have a 350 block that i was gonna use, get a 307/326 crank and put a maybe 30 over rebuild kit in it. but then iwas on summits webpage and i saw i could get a brand new gmpp 4inch bore block for 600 which got me thinkin- so i went to napa and priced a crank which is around 200 for a reman. Do you guys think i would be better off to get a brand new block and crank instead of messing around with boring the old one out and probly have to have the old crank milled down? i was figuring it would be kinda nice to start with something new and fresh but i dont know which would be better? wutta think?

If you wanna spend $800 on a block and crank when you already have a block seems like a waste of $ to me. Typical crank grind is under $100 bucks same end result.

Arent there special bearings drequired for this. The 307 crank is small journal I think, and has to have oversized bearings to put in a 350. I have several 307 cranks, and have thought about doing the same thing

i think that the 307 is the large journal crank
