Freshended up my th350
« on: July 10, 2008, 08:11:44 pm »
By buddy helped me freshen up my th350 last weekend.  I hated how soft and early my old setup shifted. We installed all new bands & clutch paks, transgo dash 2 shift kit, govener springs, adj modulator, and a 2200 stall. I am really pleased with his work and tranny's still baffle me.

You only have one band...

Glad it's working out for you. The TH350 is a simple automatic trans. What's baffling you?

I am by no means a gearhead however I wish I was.  Im learning with this truck though.  I was raised by my mom and never had any real tinkering time when I was younger. I can handled bolt ons but going internal on engines and tranny's blows my mind   :o  Luckily my friends are there to help me out.

Hijack ;D:  I did the same thing to my th350C and now it slips like crazy in reverse, but not in any of the forward gears that I can tell.  I wonder what would cause that?

I replaced the steels and clutches and all the o-rings and gaskets.  Also added a transgo kit.  Shifts great in the forward gears, but reverse slips something terribly -

I bet you rolled a lip seal. You're gonna have to pull the unit all back apart again. You can try checking your valve body gaskets but most likely you'll have to pull the unit
