Wiring an electric choke?
« on: August 07, 2008, 04:41:14 pm »
What should I connect the wires to?  I've heard that it should be a 12 volt switched source.  What would be a good example?

Thanks,

T.J.

An oil pressure switch. Run 12v to the switch fuse protected from a key on power source at the fuse panel. Run the other terminal to your choke coil. This will allow your choke to be energized only when the engine is running rather than just when the ignition is switched.
