1985 305ci vaccuum lines?
« on: September 27, 2008, 02:32:28 am »
I am getting ready to reinstall the engine in my 1985 k10 (305ci with auto) and was wondering if anybody had any drawings, schematics, pictures, or whatever for all of the darn lines.  When I got the truck, many were cut or plugged.  I am keeping it as was built so I need to hook up all of the lines again.  Some are of course self-explanatory.  Any help would be appreciated.  Details of truck:

305ci / auto with OD
A/C
Cruise control
4x4

Thanks.....JIM

Did you look on autozone's website? They have a lot of free information.

Yeah, actually I did but they didn't have anything detailed enough, it was more of a generic for the more major lines (PCV, brakes, advance, etc.).  There are so many little ones (3 off of the air cleaner alone) that go somewhere.  I just found another 2 last night, one on the passenger side exhaust that controls some sort of gate and one connected to the air pump manifold.
I AM SO CONFUSED!?!?!?!?!?!?

Thanks for the reply though.

I can post it for you but I need to know your U codes on your spid label. Do you have the VECI label under the hood still? Is it high altitude? Is it California emissions?

I have the original hood and rad support but somebody painted over the stickers and when I tried cleaning them off, it looked like somebody wiped thinner over them before they painted and it was all smeared.  What are U codes?  Based on the carburator ( and I know this is weak) I would say it is not a CA truck as the Rochester codes are for 49 state legal but not the specific code for CA.
Thanks....JIM

if youre not in a smog state........ it aint a prius for cryin out loud  ;D

my suggestion honestly is to find a truck similar to yours in a junkyard with the motor intact and make notes, but im more of a visual learner myself.
