bad vaccum lines

ok, i have an 82 k10 with a 305 4-bbl...question is, i want to remove as much emission crap as possible.  it is a daily driver, but i'm putting on emissionless headers, and an open element air filter...what can I remove, vaccum line wise?  What is essential to systems/operation other than air/egr/etc?  can i pull the whole vaccum can and cap everything off at the carb?

1982 Shortbed K10 Silverado.  305 ci with a mild cam, full true dual exhaust (Long tube headers, "H" pipe, and Thrush Turbo mufflers.  4x4, and otherwise completely stock.  about 153,000 miles.

If you mean the EVAP canister, I would keep it, as it doesn't rob you of any power.  I deleted everything but my evap and cat.  And I would recommend against open air cleaner unless you have a cowl hood.  Cold air makes more power.  You can decrease restriction with a KN filter and by removing the thermac flapper inside the snorkel (unless you live in a cold climate).  If that's not enough, you can graft on an another snorkel.  Check out Haulin It's air cleaner.  I'm making one too (though it's been on the back-burner for a few months) out of a pair of '92 C1500 air cleaners.  But I strongly doubt the factory air cleaner is a significant restriction for a 305.

Bumping this thread since I have the exact same question.  Factory Quadrajet and I want to clean up the engine bay and remove as many vacuum lines as possible.  What is blocked off and what is left open?

You don't need any vacuum lines unless there is an accessory you plan to use it for. Vacuum advance distributor?  Vacuum brake booster? EGR? Thermostatic air cleaner? Emissions controls? What transmission do you have? Are you keeping your charcoal canister?  ???
