My truck in a magazine; kinda cool
« on: May 11, 2009, 11:30:52 am »
I submitted my K5 blazer to OFF-ROAD magazine in the readers rides section and it made it into the July issue of the magazine. It is out now and on page 20.  I'm really happy and a little pissed at the same time. It appears that they only spec they got right was my name. It's like they didn't even read the specs I sent them with the pictures. Oh well, apparently I now have a 301 c.i. Instead of a 355 c.i. haha. Anyone ever seen a 301 c.i.? I didn't think so.

Some magazines use chimpanzees for editors.  But it's still cool to have your rig in a magazine.  Congrats.

Their website is not updated for July yet, when it updates I'll put it up.

A friend of mine had a 301 in his firebird. I think it was a turbo car, but I dont remember for sure. I do remember it was a turd.

Congrats FreznoK5er, thats awesome. I have wanted to submit my 85, but dont think its worthy

Do you want to sell it cheap since it's only a 301?
Congratulations, it must feel good seeing all of that hard work pay off.

Way cool congrats!
Years back had a buddy with a 301 Turdbo Trans Am. He was not happy when I dusted him Standing start, and top end with my 74 Malibu with an 88 smog 454 in it.
