whats the little gadget that charges the batter on a small engine, i know of the magneto and i think that just does the spark. i have worked on small engine b4 just not any that would charge a battery

Depends on the engine but the ones I have use a generator type device built into the starter to charge.
and some run off the magneto aand flywheel... never worked with one though so i cant really explain it

wow at first i thought you were trying to say starter thanks buddy. found a used one off ebay
100
bucks found them cheaper but still think ill make sure thats my problem b4 i buy that. at least now i know were it is
, now would my head lights be dim at low rpms due to the stator or is that just natural
