Troubleshooting horn system. Please help

Have dual horns behind the grill on my 75 with 84ish body
Black wire going to engine bay from horns but no wires hooked up to it
What color is the horn wire and where is it loacted on the steering column. Would rather use stock horn button if it works before I resort to using a generic button on the side of the column

Need your help as this is a safety issue

No wires hooked up where? At the horns? Or to the harness/bulkhead connector?

Whether you kept the 75 or the 84 wiring harness the wire from the column slot 28 to the horn relay is black, then on to junction block slot 29 in the front wire harness.

I ended up fixing the horn
The plastic sleeve inside the wheel that houses the spring was chipped. I guess they made the horn inoperable because of the nonstop honking
I just took a 30 amp glass fuse, put a thin layer of tape around metal side on one end, forced it in there on top of the spring and put her back together.She works for now anyway
Then just had to crimp the wire together under the hood

It was dark green with a spade terminal by the way under the hood itself
