The LT-1 heads use reverse flow cooling. If you are bent on keeping your intake just get a different set of heads to match.

well i can get a set of vortecs or lt1 heads for free. right now my truck has a few burnt valves and im pretty sure one head is warped. i dont plan on keeping a carb motor long and dont want to buy another intake if i dont have to.

Get the vortecs, I don't think LT1's will work without a bit of mods.  A local guy tried LT1 heads on his 400 and never could get it sorted out.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I seen some intakes modified to fit other heads.  I remember I seen an intake that had a dual bolt pattern but don't remember if it was for vortecs and oldschool heads or 86+ and 86/older.
