I can't seem to get my shifter to work properly. I went to take my truck for the first drive and was super disappointed(once again). I owe it to my wife to give it one good shot down the track, then this truck is headed for the crusher - I give up on trying to make a fast truck. I'll settle for a good looking cruiser. Anyway, I tried adjusting the linkage where it connects to the trans, but it doesn't seem to have enough adjustment to for me to set it for neutral without just leaving the front hex nut completely off. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, it's the same motor, same trans, same shifter. Only thing that changed was the manual valvebody. I was careful to make sure I put the shift lever back where it was when I did the swap. Anybody have any advice? I really needed this truck to be driving by tomorrow for a car show.
The trans is a TH350, the shifter is a Hurst Pro-matic, the valvebody is a ATI Compu-(something). Maybe the reason I was disappointed was because it was taking off in 3rd making it less than impressive?
