Couple electrical questions
« on: January 13, 2010, 01:58:23 pm »
First off for some reason my right turn signal does not blink, it just gets brighter and stays like that till a turn it off, i hear no bliking in the cab either.  Any clue what could cause that?

Second, nomrally my gas gauge and volt and oil pressure gauges all work.  The other day I went to to look at a truck and they all worked fine.  Left to test drive the other vehicle and when i got back and went to leave.  The guages wouldnt light up at all and they did on the way there and none of them worked at all. Any clue?

as far as the turn signal,  check all  bulbs on the right side of the truck and make sure they work.

for the instrument panel,  maybe a ground came loose or disconnected?

Is the dimmer turned down?

the dimmer part of my headlight switch kinda did the same thing, except i could get the interior lights to work if i played with it enough.  i replaced it and everything worked after that.

now the turn signals, there could be a bad ground on one of the bulbs.   one of the wires may be frayed through, and shorting out on the body/frame.
