« on: October 28, 2009, 12:17:17 pm »
ok new to the 4x4 game. i bought my 1st 78 short bed. it has 33's on stock rims now. is thr anyway to know if it already has a susp. lift? any way my problem is this. i bought a set of good used 33's from the local tire store with aftermarket rims. i went to go put the front on and it went on no prblems but the studs just barely stick out. so i need need new studs. are the rear gonna be same? i went to autozone.com and c that thr r 2 different types of studs, front and rear. any info on the subject would b great. with longer studs will i have to pull the axles??

Take a pic of your wheels. You probably just need different lug nuts. The steelies most likely had acorn nuts where as many aluminum wheels require shank style lug nuts and washers.
