I'll get a pic for ya. I'm talking about the floor mats. the carpet has the grommet for the switch so no problem there, just the dimmer switch is in the way of the floormat. in a newer truck without the floor dimmer, there would be no problem.

Ok here ya go...
In the first pic, this is how much the mat covers the switch when it's slid up like it's supposed to be.
This pic shows how much I'd like to have it notched to accomodate the dimmer switch.
Right now I ride around with the mat slid way back, and it goes up onto the curvature of the floor by the seat mounts. This would be ok, but having it slid back up on the curve like that naturally pushes the mat forward, so pretty regularly I have to slide the mat back off the dimmer switch. When a passenger rides on the passenger side, that mat never moves an inch.
I would have cut it by now, but then it would look like crap without the border in that one area. Even if I could find more mats, I haven't found any that are of this quality in any stores...

This may be a dumb question, but what is the difference between loop pile and cut pile?
I ask not from a year match stand point but more for look, feel and durability. I will be replacing the carpet in my '87 and if the loop pile is more durable, I would opt for it. I'm less interested in factory original than I am in durability and looks.
Thanks!

If you have pine trees near, you'll hate loop pile. Needles very hard to get out.
