Just getting started

Well the time has finally come to start working on the truck.  Sold my high school fixer upper(el camino) and now I get to build the C10.
This is what I have.
1983 C10 2wd swb 5.7

Now this truck will have to be a build as you go kind of thing, but before it goes on the road I have to swap the cab do to severe rust and the fact that I have a mint cab and nose clip for it.

While the nose+cab assembly is off I want to at least replace all the brake and fuel lines, fuel sending unit, brakes, bushings, and front end parts.
My question is involving the front end components and bushings, I have search the net some and have had a hard time with some of the sites (pst- performance)  What have you used for kits from where and price? 
Also is there anything else I should rebuild, replace while the truck is tore down?
I probably won't modify ride height yet, so I'm just looking for a fresh chassis for the meantime.

Another nice thing about these trucks is that most of the parts are available at your local parts store.  I just rebuilt all the front suspension on my truck and with the exception of the lowering springs everything else; bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, bearings, new rotors, brake lines was available at O'reilly.  They carry Moog brand which has a lifetime warranty and you don't have to wait for it to be shipped.  All the little things do add up pretty fast though it was around $500 for everything, but if I remember right the rotors, brake lines and bearings were about $175.

true.. such a high production number every year these trucks and so many are on the road, that yes, parts are plentiful.  good luck and post some pics as you go!
