Another a/c question

Just wanted to say thanks for the removel process of the heatercore! The other question is on this 79 pick-up it came with factory air being here in missouri it gets hot and humid during the summer. I was wandering which compressor i need because the book says either the long or short one. Soon it will be out of the paint shop and i need to install all parts before dropping in motor and tranny. Thanks for the info.

I believe the brackets are for the long one, i have only two on the truck though one bolted to the head and the other on the exhaust manifold. Ask earlier if some body had pics but i don't know if i sent it correctly.Tried to go to library but info on a 79 chevy is getting harder to come buy.Do love this old truck has been in family since new.Has went through grandfather,father,me.Thanks for all your guys help,this sit is awsome.
