Mishap weekend!
« on: September 26, 2010, 09:35:47 pm »
Well the clutch blew lunch in yellow snow last Wed. Then Fri. afternoon the alternator went south in my Camaro! Drove to Auto zone on the battery after I had charged it. Took what I needed for tools to change it in the parking lot. Part number on the box was right, but the alternator in it was wrong. They had to drive to another store to get me the right one. By the time I got it in and running it was 10:00 PM. Then Sat. I borrowed my buddies 85 C10 4.3, SM465 to move some stuff around. This morning the ignition lock cylinder gave it up in that!!! Had to swap in a used on I've had laying on my tool box for 6 plus months. To top it off after I replaced the cylinder I took some old rims, and tires to the shop to dismount them. I rolled One out of the back onto the floor. I went to kinda catch it when it bounced, it jambed the end of my index finger, and broke it! Plus a whole crap load of other stuff just didn't go as planned today! Should have stayed in bed this morning!  :-\

Just got over a week like that.  Wife"s car into the shop for a bad miss, and my truck picks that week for a slow leaking float in the carb to sink enough to cause flooding stalls.  It took two tries to fix the float.  The first try ended in a four mile walk to the house.
