im currently thinking no visor as well. Im not positive on the color, i have always wanted a short bed but originally was thinking a fleetside. But couldnt pass this one up. I would like to tie the color in with my other truck in some way, but still thinking on that one. for now its gonna stay its current shade of rattle can black, but im playing with the white/ black/ red pistripe thats on the other truck and seeing what would work here. We will see! All black is nice but its so much maintenence to keep nice. My 57 chevy is corvette yellow....that crossed my mind, but im just not feeling it. any suggestions? Im willing to play around with ideas, paint will be a little while into the future. Engine and trans first!

Well, been working on the k20....out with the old.... 64 chevelle 327...
and in with the newly built 454. Should be a bit of a difference I think! 77 454, oval ports, some grinding done on heads, valve job, lunati voodoo cam 60203, all new bearings/seals, kieth black pistons, comp push rods and aluminum roller rockers. Its a mild build mostly but should be fun none the less, the guy who did the head work said figure about 375 horse 450 lb ft torque, I can live with that. also, decided to make her dump.
a scissor and pump i picked up at a swap meet, and build some rails and pivots. Should help for firewood and scrap. Enjoy

Your truck is holding up good. Still looks nice. I like the dump bed, I could use one of those.

That 327 looks small next to the 454. I am with Thirsty, any man could use a dump bed, even if he never uses it, he could still say he has one.

Thanks thirsty, its getting a little rough around the edges, have some rust to deal with on fenders, doors, bedsides, and one cab corner. Found two perfect doors, now just searching for fenders and bedsides...not easy to find in jersey area with no rust, and I'm a poor student, so will wait for the right deal. Its still presentable, but hoping to get some rust repair underway soon before it gets ugly. Bake, yeah, it was amazing seeing the difference in size side by side, I had built several small blocks, this was my first big block that I built, and the weight and size is a big difference! The dump will be very useful, and i ALWAYS wanted one.....not only is it useful, but...JUST because
