TH350 Selector Plate Problems
« on: May 19, 2011, 07:01:40 pm »
I have a 1979 Chevy K10 Scottsdale with a 350/350 setup in it. The trans was rebuilt right before I bought the truck about a year ago. I am having problems with the nut that is tightened against the selector plate right inside the transmission pan. The selcetor is too loose which is causing me to loose park, and low range gears L1 and L2. When I tighten this nut I can put the trans in all of these gears with the lever off the column.  Is there a retaining clip or something that should hold the nut in place to keep it from backing off, since it might not have been reinstalled during the rebuild?

Thanks
