Just wanted to report back on an old problem fixed...

I started a thread where my truck was idling rough. Tried several times to fix it, never could. Tried Redline fuel system cleaner, and now the truck feels like its not even running when its at idle. Also my valve clatter stopped, so I no longer have to run 89 octane if I don't want valve clatter. Maybe someone can benefit from my hours of research into the best fuel system cleaner. Redline is it. One bottle treats 100 gallons, but its fine to use it on a normal sized fuel tank. Redline contains the most of any brand of the actual cleaning agent. Only other one that would seem to compare is RXP. Had a good experience, so I just thought I'd share in case it can help someone else.

Good info, along these lines, I had similar issues on a truck a year or so ago and used Lucas.  It seemed to work well.  Not to take away from your experience but as another data point...

Did you use the oil thickening agent, or do they also have a fuel system cleaner as well? I've heard a lot of people have fixed slipping transmissions with lucas.

I used the fuel system cleaner only

skunk Lucas makes fuel system cleaner, transmission slip fix and power steering fluid. I think I may have seen some more but I cant think what they were maybe a gift pack or something

The power steering fluid isn't synthetic is it? I'd like to try it on my stang, but that pump absolutely hates synthetic power steering fluid.

i would think, i know it has stop leak in it
