np205 gears
« on: September 02, 2011, 07:29:02 am »
I have an 85 k20. so i was wondering did they make any np205 that are full time full wheel drive. I was doing some work on my transfer and put it all the way forward which should be 4lo everything was good, then i pulled back it was nuetral, then pulled back again and two wheel drive. well thats all the pulling i can do, so i put it back forward to see if i was just missing a gear but it alwys went from lo to nuetral. i dont know anyone have an idea.

The 205 did not come full time.  Has your transfer case ever been rebuilt ?  Sounds to me like it might need it if you can not shift into all the gears.

like beast said mud can get up into the linkage and not shift right. also someone on here had a problem where the shifter handle was hitting the floor causing it not to shift right
