3/4 ton control arm assembly

Can a 3/4 ton lower control arm assembly be used in place of a 1/2 ton?  The spindle would remain 1/2 ton.  The 3/4 ton lowers are less expensive.  Are the bushings easier to replace on the 3/4 ton lower control arm shaft? All 2wd drive trucks.  My 1/2 ton bushings need to be pressed in by a machine shop and the nearest established shop is 80 miles away.

I honestly can't remember this for sure, but I think the balljoint won't work...
