I swapped out just the wheel. If you are looking for one; find a nice wheel and there were a lot of different options on the horn buttons. So find a nice wheel first and look at whats available through the yard for a button. Mine happens to be from a 94 s10. The red in the button is a perfect match for my new guages which also happen to be red.
I do show my truck and many comment on how nice of condition the dash is in. A lot of people ask me if my interior is originial.
I did sand and re-paint my dash cover before I installed it. It looked as though it had got some dirt or dust in the paint. I also did it to match my door panels and seat belts so the top coat all came from the same can.
btw my wiper switch is on the dash.
