Where does this wire go?
« on: February 23, 2013, 11:18:08 pm »
This wire is on the drivers side under the hood, and has a long wire to the connector.  My truck is a 86 chevy that originaly came with a 305.
I do not have awire diagram and am trying to put back wires where they go as a few are not connected to anything.

Thank you.

Does that wire become "green" as you trace it back toward the firewall?  It looks like oil and heat have beaten it up a little bit.  If it's the 'green' wire next to your hand, it probably connects to the water temperature sender for the dash gauge.

Look through the 81-87 wiring diagrams in our Technical Pages.

I once had a 1985 very plain K10.   It had empty plugs all over the place for unused options.  I see there are wiring diagrams in the reference section here
