Installed new parking brake cables
« on: April 02, 2013, 07:19:56 pm »
So I decided the only way i would get anything done my big blue, was to actually take leave from work. So today I made a junk yard run for a few things i need for my parking brake lines. It was a local junk yard and i was impressed. But on the plus side i got all new lines ran from front to back. just need to get the truck on jack stands and take a look at the brakes and make adjustments.

Any major issues to watch out for? This is on my list, too, as the rear part of my brake cables is missing.

The pic could be deceiving, but is that cable touching the drive line ?

@velojym, No it was pretty simple. Although i had already ran the rear drum cables so i just need to hook up the rest. If you have a body lift you will lose some length in the cable when you applie the pedal.
@bake74 no it isnt touching there is a good amount of room between the two.
