Tubular control arm questions!

Hi everyone,

I'm currently overhauling my 86 c10 and while the motor was out found out why the truck liked to "float" around so much on the freeway.  The bushing are totally gone on the driver side lower control arm.  Since the arm has been bouncing around for a few *ahem* years like that it is now bent a quarter inch off from the other side. 

So now it's time to get some tubular arms.

My question is does anyone know how it will ride/steer/behave anything like that on a stock height truck? I really don't want to lower it and if I do I know my dad (who was the original owner) would beat me senseless but I've also read that some control arms are for lowered trucks.  Is this true with all tubular arms for the c10s?

All control arms are designed for lowered height.  Since many want the stock height they keep the stock control arms.  You would have to get some made for a stock setup.

tubular arms look good ,some say they are stronger but compared to what ? they sell cheap knock off Arms and they sell Quality Arms ( stock type)  i put a set of moog heavy duty uppers in my c20 -pricey but came complete with ball joints and pivot shafts - im happy with them .

I rant the uppers but I'm not impressed with any aftermarket lowers that I have seen.
