Putting factory A/C components in a Non A/C truck
« on: March 27, 2016, 12:04:12 pm »
So I picked up a complete air conditioning setup minus the switch for my 82 K10 for pretty cheap out of an 84 c10, my truck never had A/C. Has anyone done this conversion yet?

There are several people on here that have done this conversion.  I did one on a '70's truck, the later would be very similar.  The biggest part of the swap is cutting a hole for the A/C plenum and patching the hole where the heater plenum was.

You might want to take a look at this link - It will show the relation of the firewall holes for a heater and factory a/c...
