A pillar; what's inside?

I am working on getting adding cab markers to my Blazer.  Ideally, I would like to run the wire down inside the a pillar.  Has anyone done anything of the sort?  I would like the install to be as clean as possible.  My truck does not have any of the interior moulding strips on any of the pillars.  So, I really could not simply hide it there.  Is there an "best" way to run the wire inside the pillar?

Not really a good way to do this on the blazer unless you can fish it through the visor hole somehow.

Once you cut your holes for the lights, up under the dash you will see a hole you can fish a piece of mechanics wire up through, or down through from the top. I have done it both ways. Its a Pain in the rear, but if you want the wires hidden Thats the only way to run them, there is two layer of metal. Its been a while but if I remember correctly you need to be inside both of them.
