How does the system work? My 87 slowly will change from vent to defrost and doesn't blow very hard at all. Basically when I start it it blows out almost all the air through the vents, after 20-30 minutes or so it is coming out of the defroster vent pretty good, but it still comes out of the regular AC vents in the dash too. Any ideas what might cause this?
Also, I have 2 gas tanks. Everything worked fine until one day the RH tank doesn't work anymore. The gauge doesn't change when you flip the switch, it doesn't suck fuel out of the RH tank either (so it isn't just a bad gauge). I tried a new selector valve, but it didn't do anything and I can't hear the valve click or hum or anything when I flip the switch (indicating movement of the valve from one tank to the other). I checked the backside of teh switch on the dash on a friends truck (it was older though - a 78 I believe) and it had power to atleast one of the terminals, but mine doesn't, does that sound right? Any ideas on what might be causing this? It is really annoying!
