My truck doesn't get driven more than 4-5k miles a year now.  It still has the leaking 1406 in it but I don't care much.  It don't matter enough to work out a new brand of carb and learn how to tune it, etc.   If I was still daily driving it like I was 10 years ago I would have a dofferent brand carb of some kind on it by now.   most likely a good remanufactured Q-Jet.

But my 1406 does what I need even if less efficient than it could be.
